Cosco Corp units score US$300m in contracts
COSCO Corporation (Singapore) says its shipyard subsidiaries have scored contracts worth some US$300 million.
The listed shiprepair, shipbuilding and offshore marine engineering parent company said these deals involve the building of an accommodation barge and seven bulk carriers.
Its Cosco (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co Ltd won contracts from a European company to build a DP3 accommodation barge - a class of accommodation barge - scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2016, and from an Asian company for two 64,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) bulk carriers, scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2016.
