Credit Suisse and Rothschild advising Olam on restructuring
Singapore
SINGAPORE-based Olam International has picked Credit Suisse and Rothschild & Co as joint financial advisors, with a "specific mandate" to submit a proposal by end-year on how the diversified agri-food stalwart can restructure its sprawling businesses.
"Their mandate is to look at ways to reposition our business... to eliminate the hidden value which is now not being reflected through a possible reorganisation into a more coherent or related combinations," said Olam chief executive and co-founder Sunny Verghese at the company's results briefing on Tuesday.
