CREDIT Suisse will focus on acquiring bankers, as opposed to snapping up assets and businesses as other Western banks retreat from their wealth management business in Asia, said its chief executive Tidjane Thiam on Tuesday.
This comes as Mr Thiam gave resounding backing to its Asian private banking franchise, assuring that even as the bank sheds risky assets, the capital allocation for Asia is intact.
