DBS to ramp up cashless transactions with QR codes
Singapore
DBS intends to ramp up its cashless drive in Singapore with the use of QR codes, with the aim of having more than 30,000 QR code payment acceptance points here by the end of the year.
The bank announced this on Friday amid plans to partner ComfortDelGro to implement QR code payment in its fleet of 16,300 taxis by the third quarter of this year. Singapore's largest lender also wants to encourage more hawkers to use QR codes as a payment mode.
