MAS, KL regulator to foster closer cooperation on fintech and innovation in financial services

SINGAPORE'S fintech (financial technology) scene received a double boost on Friday with the announcement of an industry-first fintech training programme, and the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC).
The agreement, which was signed by MAS chief fintech officer Sopnendu Mohanty and SC's executive director of innovation, digital and strategy Chin Wei Min, was to foster closer cooperation on fintech and innovation in financial services between Singapore and Malaysia.
