Digiland forms energy-trading joint venture in Malta

DIGILAND International, an ailing IT company which a year ago announced plans to transform itself into an oil and gas player, has entered into partnership with a Maltese government agency to develop the Republic of Malta into a Europe-Asia energy trading hub.

In an announcement on Monday, Digiland said that its wholly owned subsidiary International Energy Group Pte Ltd (IEG), through a newly formed European unit New Silkroutes Group, has entered into a joint venture with Malta Enterprise Corporation (MEC).
