Director buying falls but selling rebounds
SADLY this will be my last Insider Story for The Business Times. It still feels like yesterday that I wrote my first article for this esteemed newspaper in 2000 and I want to thank you, my loyal readers, for your patronage. I also want to thank The Business Times for giving me this weekly platform. With this, I leave with great sadness and also joy that I have provided detailed buyback, director and substantial shareholder news to my readers these past 17 years.
INSIDER buying was low for the first time in the past four weeks based on filings on the Singapore Exchange during the holiday-shortened week of May 2 to May 5. A total of 10 companies recorded 17 purchases worth S$0.52 million, sharply down from the previous week's five-day totals of 16 firms, 45 purchases and S$9.7 million.
The selling, on the other hand, rebounded after recording no sales in the previous week with three firms making five disposals worth S$10.62 million.
