Director buying value up sharply
No sales by directors last week and buyback activity plunges with only four companies making eight repurchases.
THE buying was high for the third straight week based on filings on the Singapore Exchange in the last week of April with 16 companies that recorded 45 purchases worth S$9.68 million. The number of firms was unchanged while the number of purchases was slightly down from the previous week's 52 acquisitions. The buy value, however, was sharply up from the previous week's purchases worth S$1.72 million.
On the selling side, there were no sales by directors last week which was not surprising as the selling by directors has been very low in the past month with an average of only three disposals per week in the previous three weeks.
Buyback activity plunged with only four companies that posted eight repurchases worth S$2.18 million. The figures were sharply down from the previous week's nine firms, 34 trades and S$3.35 million.
