A DISCORD is brewing in the Society of Remisiers Singapore (SRS), which could end with the eventual ouster of Vincent Khoo, an SRS member and a remisier at OCBC Securities.

SRS's executive committee alleges that Mr Khoo, who was also SRS's publications secretary from 2009 to 2013, has violated section 17.1 of its constitution, which states that a member who has failed to comply with SRS's rules or acted in a manner that brings disrepute to SRS may be suspended for a period of time or expelled as the exco deems fit.

In a letter to Mr Khoo, dated late last year, the exco stated that its action to review Mr Khoo's membership stems from his immediate rebuttal to SRS's statements to the press in several instances, which they deem as "far from being coincidental".
