Double assault of flooding and tariffs sends Valuetronics tumbling

SHARES of Valuetronics Holdings took a hit on Tuesday, pummelled on two fronts by news of flooding at a minor plant in Guangdong, China and fresh US tariffs on Chinese imports.
The electronics manufacturing services company's stock closed the day at S$0.63, down 5.26 per cent or 3.5 Singapore cents. The Straits Times Index, the Singapore Exchange's blue-chip benchmark, slipped 0.07 per cent or 2.06 points to 3,139.34.
