THE Singapore Exchange's (SGX) stance on dual-class shares and quarterly reporting will consider issuers' needs and the evolution of the disclosure-based ecosystem, SGX Regulation chief executive Tan Boon Gin said on Tuesday.

"We must not lose sight of the reason why capital markets exist in the first place, which is to help companies grow, stimulate the economy, create more jobs and allow investors to participate in that growth," Mr Tan said in his keynote address at Thomson Reuters' Asean Regulatory Summit.
