Emerging markets down but not out

EMERGING-MARKET stocks may be down due to political uncertainties and Fed-tapering fears - but they are not out.

Market strategists say buying opportunities could come next year. But for now, there are better trades to be made in developed markets like Japan and Europe.

Schroders' head of emerging market equities Allan Conway said in a note: "The short-term outlook remains uncertain, so we believe it is too early to get super-bullish.
