EMS Energy's full-year net profit down 81%

ENGINEERING solutions provider EMS Energy's net profit for the full year ended Dec 31, 2014, came in at S$825,000, less than a fifth of what it made in its previous financial year.

While the company's gross profit soared 46.3 per cent to S$6.1 million, its gross profit margin declined to 12.5 per cent, from 19.8 per cent, due to more expensive materials and higher costs resulting from a shortage of skilled workers.
