COMMODITY producers are being hit by longer waiting times at ports and a lack of container ships following a surge in cargo volumes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ng Baoying, global managing editor for container shipping at S&P Global Platts, told The Business Times (BT) that metals, petrochemicals and agriculture are among the commodity types affected.
