Goodpack sues supplier CIMC Transpack in spat over intellectual property
FORMER Singapore Exchange-listed logistics company Goodpack is suing its supplier CIMC Transpack Group over alleged breaches of contract and misappropriation of intellectual property relating to bulk-shipping containers.
The company, bought by private equity manager KKR in 2014, filed the lawsuit in the Singapore High Court last week. It is seeking various claims, including damages amounting to US$9.9 million as at June 2023.
The eight defendants named in the suit are related members of the CIMC Transpack Group, and include Shenzhen and Hong Kong Exchange-listed China International Marine Containers (Group).
