[JAKARTA] Indonesia is set to issue permits to import 968,143 tonnes of raw sugar in the second quarter of this year, a trade ministry official said on Friday, the same amount it allowed for import in the first quarter.
Imports of the sweetener are expected to increase to 3.2 million tonnes this year from 2.88 million tonnes in 2015, an official at the Indonesian Food and Beverage Industries Association said earlier this year.
