Indonesia to review oil, gas permits in energy overhaul: minister

INDONESIA plans to review all permits, business processes and institutions connected to its oil and gas sector, the energy minister said, an overhaul the former OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) member hopes will avert a looming energy crisis.
Energy matters have shaped the agenda of Indonesia's new leader, President Joko Widodo, who plans to slash US$13 billion from the country's US$23 billion annual subsidy bill and prop up growth with investments in the oil and gas sector.
