Jakarta delays nod for first floating LNG plant
Energy ministry says an independent study will be conducted to re-evaluate onshore and FLNG concepts

INDONESIA's energy ministry will hold back the approval for a multi-billion floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) plant proposed for Inpex-led Abadi field development until the review of an independent study is completed.
At the sideline of Gastech 2015 conference, director general of oil and gas, Gusti Nyoman Wiratmaja told reporters a study will be conducted to re-evaluate both the onshore and FLNG concepts previously on the table for the Abadi field in the Masela production sharing contract in the Arafura Sea off Indonesia.
