Oil climbs after Yemeni Houthis attack Saudi Aramco sites
Strikes in Riyadh and the Khurais area raise concerns about production at the region’s top exporter
[SINGAPORE] Oil prices rose on Monday (Oct 5) after Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis said they launched ballistic missiles and drones at Saudi Aramco sites in Riyadh and the Khurais area.
This raised concerns about production at the top exporter in the region.
Brent crude futures climbed US$0.81 cents, or 0.8 per cent, to US$103.06 a barrel by 10.02 pm GMT.
Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate crude was at US$91.57 a barrel, up US$0.46, or 0.5 per cent. REUTERS
