Rising lithium prices won't hurt EV momentum: Credit Suisse

LITHIUM prices, which have surged and led to significant cost inflation in electric vehicle (EV) battery materials, are expected to remain elevated until 2024 at least - but the analysts at Credit Suisse believe that this would not hurt the accelerating EV momentum.

Speaking at the Credit Suisse Asian Investment Conference on Tuesday (Mar 22), Bin Wang, co-head of the bank's autos securities research team, said: "I feel automakers will lower the price at (the expense) of their own margin to make sure that the growth can continue because it is such a strategically important direction for the automakers.
