Swiss firm opens S$45m facility on Jurong Island

BERTSCHI, one of the largest chemical logistics companies in Europe, has opened a S$45 million facility on Jurong Island, with an eye on supporting the growing specialty chemicals sector in Singapore as it also embarks on a globalisation push towards Asia.
At the opening of the facility - its first in South-east Asia - on Friday, the Swiss family-owned firm also announced that it will invest another S$20 million in a state-of-the-art dangerous good warehouse in Singapore, to be completed in the second half of next year.
