SINGAPORE, better known as an oil trading and refining hub, this week made significant progress towards the new-energy world of cleaner fuels and smart meters.
In a raft of announcements during the Singapore International Energy Week, the government unveiled new measures and updates for the electricity, renewables and liquefied natural gas (LNG) sectors - initiatives which will essentially shape both the supply and demand side of the energy equation to deliver more secure, cheaper and sustainable energy to Singapore consumers.
