Enterprise Singapore CEO to join board of Raffles Medical Group
SENIOR civil servant Png Cheong Boon, who leads statutory board Enterprise Singapore, is joining Raffles Medical Group as an independent director.
His appointment takes effect on Oct 15, the company said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Friday.
Mr Png, 48, has no prior experience as a director of a listed company, but plans to enrol in "appropriate training courses", according to the company's filing.
He became chief executive of Enterprise Singapore in April 2018. Before that, Mr Png was Second Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry from June 2017 to May 2018, CEO of JTC Corp from 2013 to 2017 and CEO of Enterprise Singapore predecessor Spring Singapore from 2008 to 2013.
Raffles Medical Group ticked up by S$0.01, or 0.94 per cent, to S$1.07 before the announcement.
