ESG strategy enhances returns for Asia-Pacific institutions: survey

MORE than 300 institutions from the Asia-Pacific (Apac) agree that the integration of an environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy has significantly improved returns, according to a global survey by State Street Global Advisors (SSGA).
Of these institutions, 74 per cent say pursuing an ESG strategy has helped with managing volatility, indicating that asset owners are using ESG strategies to enhance investment performance.
