THE former president of Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd (ST Marine), one of seven former senior executives of the company embroiled in a corruption scandal that erupted in December 2014, has been sentenced to a short detention order of 14 days for breaching section 157(1) of the Companies Act.
This meant that Chang Cheow Teck would be jailed for 14 days - the maximum term under such orders.
