EY promotes more than 900 employees to partner worldwide

BRITISH financial services giant EY on Monday (Jun 12) said it has promoted 966 people to partner worldwide.
It added that women made up more than a third (34 per cent) of the new cohort, representing 329 promotions. Last year, they accounted for 32 per cent.
EY member firms in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa recorded the largest proportion of new partners, with 395 promotions. This was followed by America, with 322 promotions.
Meanwhile, member firms in the Asia-Pacific recorded 216 new partners, including 69 from Asean; women accounted for 43 per cent of the 69 who made partner.
By department, the assurance team accounted for the largest proportion of promotions, with 304 new partners.
This was followed by tax with 268, consulting with 262, and strategy and transactions with 111. Another 21 members of the business-support team also became partners.
