SINGAPORE institutional investors holding Ezion Holding's perpetual securities released in November last year will have their dividend income exempted from tax after these qualified as qualifying debt securities (QDS).
The oilfield services firm in November last year sold S$150 million perpetual bonds offering a 7 per cent coupon. The issue received S$300 million in orders. Private bank clients made up 87 per cent of Ezion's deal, BT previously reported.
