HE demurred on what exactly the US Federal Reserve will do in June, but St Louis Fed president James Bullard was unambiguous in declaring that the odds were in favour of a rate hike path faster than markets think.
Brandishing a bunch of confidence-boosting charts in a presentation to 120 institutional investors, Mr Bullard said that financial markets - which have been betting against a rate hike in June and later - were losing two goals to three.
