F&N names new CEOs for its beer, food divisions

BEVERAGE maker Fraser and Neave (F&N) has announced three changes to its managerial team.

Chief executive officer of beer, Prapakon Thongtheppairot, will retire from his role with effect from Oct 1. The 45-year-old was recently appointed the global Spirit Product group CEO of Thai Beverage Public Company (ThaiBev), F&N said.

F&N added that Mr Prapakon will retire as CEO of beer at F&N - where he was charged with overseeing and driving the strategic growth of the beer business - to "focus on his new role".

Mr Prapakon, who was appointed beer CEO in August last year, will remain an alternate director to Sithichai Chaikriangkrai and a member of the board executive committee of F&N.

Edmond Neo, previously general manager for regional brand development at F&N, will succeed Mr Prapakon as CEO of beer.

F&N said Mr Neo played an instrumental role in the success of Chang beer's rebranding while he was on secondment to ThaiBev, of which F&N is a strategic partner.

The 51-year-old was also former director of group commercial at Asia Pacific Breweries (APB).

F&N also said it has appointed Bennett Neo as CEO of food with effect from Oct 1. This is a newly-created position, F&N said.

Mr Neo, 47, will be responsible for building and implementing the strategies of F&N's food business. Prior to joining F&N, he was regional director at APB and CEO of logistics company YCH Group.

F&N said that both new CEOs will report directly to the F&N board executive committee.
