Former remisier fined S$9,000 after pleading guilty to corruption in 1MDB case

FORMER remisier Kelvin Ang was sentenced to a S$9,000 fine on Wednesday after pleading guilty to a corruption charge related to investigations surrounding the Malaysian state fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
Ang, a Singaporean who used to work at Maybank Kim Eng, was charged with corruptly paying S$3,000 to research analyst Lee Chee Waiy to expedite preparation of a favourable research report.
