Former ST Marine employees charged in court for corrupt practices (Amended)

THREE former senior employees of Singapore Technologies Marine (ST Marine) have been charged in court for corrupt practices.
One of them, Chang Cheow Teck, was president of ST Marine from March 2008 to April 2010, and president of ST Aerospace from May 2010 till June this year.
Another is Mok Kim Whang, who was senior vice-president at Tuas Yard, from June 2000 to July 2004.
Both were charged under section 6(b) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, which involves giving, or offering to give, a form of reward to others.
The third executive is Ong Teck Liam, who was the group financial controller and senior vice-president (finance) of ST Marine from April 2007 to December 2012. She was charged with falsifying accounts.
ST Engineering had first announced that the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau was investigating certain transactions involving former and current employees in September 2011.

The group said that it had extended its fullest cooperation to CPIB since then, and would make timely further announcements if necessary.
