Frasers Centrepoint Trust appoints Cheong Choong Kong as new board chairman; reshuffles committees
FRASERS Centrepoint Trust announced on Monday after the market closed that it has appointed a new chairman of the board of directors, as well as made some changes to its internal committees.
The trust announced it has appointed Cheong Choong Kong, a non-executive and independent director, as chairman of the board of directors with effect from March 1, 2018, abolishing the need for a separate role of lead independent director in doing so.
Dr Cheong takes over from Philip Eng Heng Nee, and he will also sit on the audit, nominating and remuneration committees.
Meanwhile, non-executive and independent director Ho Chai Seng has been appointed chairman of the nominating and remuneration committee, following the retirement of Soh Kim Soon, who also sat on the committee.
