Frasers Property to reappoint Siripen Sitasuwan as independent director

FRASERS Property will reappoint Siripen Sitasuwan as an independent director from Monday (Oct 17).
In a bourse filing on Friday, the company said that it believes Siripen’s appointment will provide further diversity to the core competencies and skill set of the board. It will also further gender representation on the board, it added.
In addition, she will also be appointed a member of the audit committee and member of the information technology and cybersecurity committee of Frasers Property.
Notably, Siripen was formerly an independent director of Frasers Property from Oct 25, 2013 to Mar 10, 2014 following the demerger of Frasers Property from Fraser and Neave.
She was also appointed independent director of Fraser and Neave on May 31, 2013 before she retired on May 30, 2022.
Meanwhile, the board also appointed Pramoad Phornprapha as an independent director. It said that Pramoad has considerable experience in consulting and advisory work in areas ranging from strategy, operational effectiveness to organisational improvement.

He is also known to the board and the nominating committee through personal networks of members of the board, and will be attending training on the roles and responsibilities of a director of a listed issuer as prescribed by the Singapore Exchange.
Additionally, Pramoad will be appointed a member of the board executive committee, a member of the nominating committee and a member of the sustainability and risk management committee of the company.
Shares of Frasers Property closed flat at S$0.93 on Friday, before the announcement was made.
