FTSE Asean Index to include more indices
TO cover the growing equity market, the FTSE Asean Index series will be expanded to include four new indices, global index provider FTSE Group and the Asean exchanges said yesterday.
The expanded series includes Vietnamese stocks listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange and the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, and represents about 90-95 per cent of the investible market capitalisation in the region.
The new indices include the FTSE Asean All-Share Index designed to represent the performance of large, mid and small-cap Asean companies, and the FTSE Asean All-Share ex-Developed Index representing the performance of all the ex-developed countries in the FTSE Asean All-Share Index.
