THE first investing masterclass I attended, at the age of 21, left a deep impression on me. But not because of the insights I gained.
During a break for refreshments, I saw, for the first time, men queuing up for the washroom while the cubicles in the female toilet were completely empty.
This dearth of females is representative of the so-called "gender investing gap" - an opportunity that financial institutions are pouncing on.
