Genting Malaysia bets big on SkyWorlds
A PANDEMIC is a strange time to launch a mega-attraction, what with the closed international borders and curbs on domestic leisure activities.
Still, Genting Malaysia's latest US$800 million gamble might pay off.
Its SkyWorlds theme park is finally set to open in mid-2021, close to a decade after the development was first announced. The project has been in the pipeline since 2013, but ran into several completion delays, no thanks to legal and other issues.
