G.H.Y. Culture & Media appoints new board members
G.H.Y. Culture & Media has appointed 3 new directors, Yingxue Zeng, Shamsul Kamar Bin Mohamed Razali and Li Qi, the group said in a regulatory filing on Friday (Jan 28).
Zeng will be designated as a non-executive director, while Shamsul and Li will be independent non-executive directors with effect from Feb 1. Shamsul and Li will also be members of the board's remuneration committee.
Zeng is currently senior vice-president of Shenzhen-listed Perfect World Co. and has over 17 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry. She specialises in game publishing, film production and distribution.
Shamsul is an independent non-executive director at Catalist-listed Advancer Global, a facility management company. Li was an associate professor at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, where he has been teaching economics since 1983.
"These appointments reflect GHY's continued commitment to integrity and diversity. All of them are highly regarded in their respective sectors and will bring a deep blend of industry, strategic development and corporate governance experience to the existing Board as we stay focused on our growth priorities in the new year," said Guo Jingyu, GHY's executive chairman and group chief executive officer.
