GIC will, together with four institutional investors, acquire a 33 per cent stake in British mobile operators Three UK and O2 UK from Hong Kong-listed Hutchison Whampoa Limited for £3.1 billion (S$6.39 billion).
The Singapore sovereign fund on Friday said it will invest £1.1 billion alongside the other four investors in Hutchison 3G UK Holdings (CI) Ltd, which is the combined Three UK and O2 UK business.
