GKE Corp awards redevelopment contract of 39 Benoi Road to HPC Builders
GKE Corp has awarded the contract for the redevelopment of the 39 Benoi Road property to HPC Builders Pte Ltd.
Work on the property will start on Aug 1, and is expected to be completed in one year.
"The redeveloped property will not only expand our warehousing space and extend our warehousing capabilities to speciality chemicals storage, but it will also enhance the asset value of the property," said GKE Corp chief executive and executive director Neo Cheow Hui.
Once completed, the warehousing space will expand by an additional 200,000 square feet, bringing the total to 400,000 sq ft with an open yard storage space of 130,000 sq ft.
As part of the redevelopment plan, the group will construct a 40 ft container ramp for every level, and Viva Industrial Reit will construct a vehicular link to connect the ramp to the 30 Pioneer Road property.
When the ramp and link are completed, Viva will pay the group an additional S$3 million and share the maintenance and repair costs of the ramp.
