Global Yellow Pages files defamation suit against director of Leisure Empire

GLOBAL Yellow Pages Limited on Monday said it has filed a defamation lawsuit against Goh Kok Liang, the director and sole shareholder of Leisure Empire Pte Ltd.

In a filing to the local bourse, the group said a writ of summons was filed in the State Courts on Monday.

It said the writ was filed "in respect of defamatory remarks made by Mr Goh at a meeting with the employees of Singapore River Explorer Pte Ltd about the company (Global Yellow Pages)".

"Pursuant to the writ of summons, the company is seeking, inter alia, damages to be assessed and an injunction restraining Mr Goh from publishing the defamatory remarks or similar words defamatory of the company, as well as making and/or publishing further defamatory remarks."

The group said it will make further announcement(s) on the above proceedings as and when appropriate.
