GLP pre-leases park space to Haier
35,000 sq m of Shanghai logistics park committed
GLOBAL Logistics Properties (GLP) has signed a pre-lease agreement with Qingdao Haier Logistics for 35,000 square metres, equivalent to 377,000 sq ft, at GLP Park Liantang in Shanghai, Eastern China.
The space will be used as Haier Logistics' Eastern China regional distribution centre to meet rising demand for logistics services from both traditional retail and e-commerce customers, said the appliances brand yesterday.
This follows an agreement signed between GLP and Qingdao Haier Industrial Development Co, an arm of Haier responsible for managing the group's industrial facilities resources, in September last year. According to the agreement, GLP and Haier will collaborate closely to develop and operate logistics facilities catering to Haier's requirements for logistics centres across China.
