INDONESIAN ride-hailing firm Gojek is working with its latest investors, Facebook and PayPal, to beef up its payments and food delivery offerings.

These tie-ups signal a shift in how global tech giants are working more closely with local incumbents to access the fintech opportunity in emerging markets, rather than competing directly, industry observers told The Business Times.
