Greenback buoyant before Fed, BOJ meetings

THE US dollar held within sight of recent highs against the euro and yen on Monday ahead of meetings of US Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan (BOJ) that investors on balance expect to be positive for the greenback.

Alone among the major global central banks, the Fed has some good economic news to discuss after improved data signals and a bounce in jobs numbers for June.
