Hai Leck wins Jurong Island project
HAI Leck Holdings - an engineering and construction services firm - said on Monday it has been awarded a new project from an existing customer in Jurong Island, boosting its order book by S$28 million.
The group said it was successful in securing the project due to, among others, its use of "mechanisation initiatives" that raises productivity and reduces reliance on manpower.
"We are pleased that our mechanisation efforts are being recognised by a key player in this industry and we will continue to invest judiciously in this area," said Cheng Yao Tong, the group's chief executive officer.
The company halted trading of its shares ahead of the announcement. Trading resumes at 10.30am. The stock last traded at S$0.57.
