Halcyon Agri swings into the black for Q2

HALCYON Agri Corp posted a net profit of US$2.3 million for the second quarter, reversing from a loss of US$4.1 million previously. Operating profit soared to US$11.1 million, more than five times the US$2 million chalked up in the same period last year, on the back of increased investments in operational technology, the rubber supplier said on Tuesday.
For the three months ended June 30, earnings per share were 0.14 US cent compared to a loss of 0.26 US cent previously.
