Hans Tjio appointed deputy chairman of SGX's Listings Advisory Committee
HANS Tjio, National University of Singapore (NUS) law professor and co-director of the NUS Faculty of Law's Centre for Banking and Finance Law, has been re-designated as deputy chairman of the Listings Advisory Committee (LAC) of Singapore Exchange (SGX), the bourse announced on Wednesday.
Prof Tjio takes over from Prof Tan Cheng Han, who was earlier made chairman of Singapore Exchange Regulation Pte Ltd.
Prof Tjio, an authority on Singapore's securities regulation, joined LAC in February 2016.
LAC, established in October 2015, is a panel of independent market professionals who provide advice on SGX's listing policies, as well as listing applications to SGX's Mainboard, which meet certain referral criteria.
SGX also announced on Wednesday the appointment of Goh Kian Hwee as a member of LAC. Mr Goh, who is joint group managing director and executive director of QAF, has over 30 years' experience in corporate and capital markets law.
SGX said the appointments were made in consultation with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
