HG Metal Manufacturing clarifies wrong final dividend declared
HG Metal Manufacturing on Tuesday clarified that its final dividend for FY2020 is 0.5 Singapore cent per share, and not S$0.50 per share, which was wrongly stated in an announcement on the Singapore Exchange a day earlier.
The dividend of 0.5 Singapore cent had been declared and approved by shareholders at its annual general meeting on Monday, for the company's financial year ended Dec 31, 2020.
A separate replacement announcement has since been issued to rectify the "typographical error in the body of the announcement which occurred due to inadvertent oversight", said HG Metal in a bourse filing.
Shares of HG Metal had seen a high volume trade on Tuesday, with some 2.04 million shares changing hands. The counter rose S$0.035 or 11.5 per cent to S$0.34, prior to a trading halt at 11.52 am.
