HK IPOs lift S'pore-based firms' equity fundraising

EQUITY capital market (ECM) fundraising by Singapore-based companies sped up in the second quarter of this year from a lethargic first three months but stripping out initial public offerings (IPOs) in Hong Kong, the total figure for the first half of 2016 was still lower than last year's.
Singapore-based firms including BOC Aviation raised US$2.15 billion from equity capital markets in the April-June period so far, or about eight times the US$265.6 million raised in January through March, according to Thomson Reuters data released on Tuesday.
