Holistic wellness pumped for growth
With gyms and yoga studios in Singapore and Hong Kong, Pure Fitness is increasing its presence in Shanghai, Taipei and New York.
IT is lunch hour on a Tuesday afternoon, and one of the newest mega-gyms in the heart of Singapore's Central Business District is bustling with activity.
In one area where there's athletic turf, a personal trainer is putting a client through the paces using kettle balls and Bulgarian Bags (a crescent-shaped training bag), and plenty of crunches and push-ups in between.
Elsewhere inside a spacious studio, a group is busy pedalling away on unconventional exercise bikes that are stationary yet allow the user to steer and weave from left to right. Others are busy pounding away on treadmills or rowing machines for their cardio fix.
