Hot stock: Olam's 5.6% share price surge prompts query from SGX
COMMODITIES supplier Olam International has been issued a trading query by the Singapore Exchange (SGX) on Tuesday after the stock surged 5.6 per cent.
It is the second query issued to Olam in less than four months, the previous one was issued on June 23 this year.
The company replied to the query in June that it was not aware of any information which could explain the share trades, and that it was in compliance with SGX's listing rules.
Temasek Holding's units recently exercised warrants at US$1.09 to raise their stake in the company.
Olam's shares were trading at S$2.23 per share, up 4.2 per cent as at 3.26pm on Tuesday. This is the highest the shares have risen since July this year, where they reached S$2.11.
